They know everybody's name here. The food is earnest and good. The service is friendly and the restaurant feels welcoming. The best place for breakfast at Middleton.

I grew up in Middletown but I hadn't been back to the area in at least five years. This seems to be the locals' place. Today's servers were a mother/daughter team and they seemed to know everyone who came through the door. There's no substitute for that feeling, a sense that you belong. It was neat to observe, the sense of familiarity and community. Even old, curmudgeon-y guys like me were welcome there. The service was quick and friendly and the diner fare was familiar. Their omelettes are cooked on a flat top. That makes for a flat, folded style omelette. It serves perfectly well for enveloping your choice of fixings. There is a RI twist to it, the choice of a chorizo omelette or chorizo served with eggs is a nod to our Portuguese neighbors/immigrants. Breakfast and coffee hit the spot. I also think the friendliness of the place had a lingering effect on me. Driving around and stopping at familiar places like 2nd Beach and Sachuest Point, the nostalgic ache came harder than I anticipated. Aquidneck Island is stunningly beautiful and it will always have a place in my heart.

Small but friendly local breakfast lunch spot with a homey feel. The service was friendly and incredibly fast! I had an egg salad club which was like a BLT meets egg salad with fries. Both tasty. My hubs had 2 eggs, sausage links, home fries and toast which he said were worth coming back for. It's great because for us it's in our neighborhood.

Great breakfast! Our omelettes were delicious! The coffee reminded me of my grandma and the pancakes were fluffy and buttery and melted in our mouths. Great service! First time here and we will definitely come back.

The perfect no nonsense no pretense local breakfast spot. No frills, bring cash, enjoy the perfect diner breakfast.

We came for breakfast and I got the egg sandwich. I have a high bar for these and Chelsea's knows what they're doing. Kids had two HUGE pancakes. The surprise was the side of fruit cup : super fresh and no filler fruit to boot! Hard to beat the price too

My go-to brunch place in the Newport/Middletown area! They have a special breakfast menu on the weekends and they never disappoint. Prices are very good compared to other breakfast joints around and I've never had to wait for a table (unlike a certain place on Broadway that has a line wrapped around the building). It's good hearty breakfast, the hollandaise is delicious and the eggs are almost always poached well. They do a softer breakfast potato but well seasoned and never underdone. Some of their weekend breakfast menu is consistent week to week but occasionally they have some gems that I've only seen shown up once or twice, such as strawberry and cream cheese stuffed french toast. Parking is breeze. They have a parking lot in front, a bit small, but since they have fast service and people are constantly coming and going, I've never had an issue finding a spot in the lot.

So great that I finally gave this place a shot after driving by it for so many years! It's a super cozy diner where once you go, everyone there knows your name. The owner is friendly and sassy - I feel like she could have her own TV show, TBH. The food is your standard diner cuisine, but sometimes, that just hits different, y'know? We love the scrambled eggs, perfectly crispy bacon, buttery bolo rolls, and comforting stacks of chocolate chip pancakes. Served alongside a cup of coffee, you can't go wrong with this roadside dose of Americana. Chelsea's has quickly become a favorite, and I honestly don't know why I didn't go here long before!

Stopped by for a late breakfast and liked the cozy feel of the place. The server seemed to know everybody and treated us sweetly despite having lost her voice. Ordered the omelet specials for the day: greek (feta, tomato, spinach) with rye bread and potatoes mushroom-sausage-spinach-broccoli with wheat bread and potatoes Food came out fast. Omelets were unusually shaped for me (thin and square). TONS of cheese and fresh toppings, crispy potatoes, and well-buttered bread with complementary jam Super affordable, generously portioned food with diner feels in a small town. Would stop by again.
